Mid-Level Contract Specialist/Administrator II

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide mid-level acquisition expertise throughout various stages of the procurement process
- Support acquisition planning, market research and analysis, solicitations, RFPs, RFQs, evaluation reviews, and review of SOWs, SOOs, and PWSs
- Prepare or review pre-procurement packages
- Maintain work items and provide status updates on contractual actions
- Assist with administration of IDIQs, BPAs, contracts, task orders, delivery orders, call orders, and purchase orders
- Apply contract types including FFP, cost reimbursable, labor hour, and time and materials
- Assist with cost/price analysis, contract modifications, terminations/default actions, and contract closeout
- Perform recurring contract administration duties with limited guidance
- Resolve complex problems and assist with data validation
- Assist with advertising, soliciting, constructing, awarding, and administering contractual actions
- Use acquisition e-Gov tools and systems to prepare contractual actions
- Support additional acquisition-scope assignments for FTA programs as directed by the COR
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant 5 years of experience
- Alternatively, at least 24 semester hours in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management, along with 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the Mid-Level Contract Specialist category and functions in mid-level capacity
- Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
- Knowledge, exposure, and ability to utilize different contract types, including FFP, Cost Reimbursable, LH, and T&M
- Experience processing acquisitions utilizing GSAR Subpart 538.71 and FAR Parts 12, 13, 37, 43, and 4.804
- Ability to independently analyze work assignments and provide feedback to the Government
- Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel
- Experience with Google Workspace products, including Calendar, Sheets, Chat, Gmail, Docs, Slides, Drive, and Meet
- Strong internet research skills
- Knowledge and experience with IDIQ contracts, BPAs, and task, delivery, call, and purchase orders
- Ability to operate a PC and phone in an office environment
- Ability to perform some bending, light lifting, and carrying of equipment
- Must be agreeable to the possibility of the government returning staff on-site, potentially multiple days per pay period in the future
