About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a portfolio of active assignments
- Lead the creation and optimization of comprehensive financial models for strategic decision-making
- Develop and refine assumptions, parameters, and scenarios under Senior Manager guidance
- Discuss commercial issues with clients and reflect them accurately in models
- Perform sensitivity analysis and stress testing
- Contribute to financial modeling methodologies and tools
- Prepare model documentation covering assumptions, methodologies, and results
- Maintain records of modeling processes and methodologies
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation
- Lead a team of modeling professionals
- Train, motivate, and manage junior team members
- Collaborate with team members on assignments
- Communicate model findings and insights to clients and internal teams
- Simplify complex financial model issues for non-technical stakeholders
- Support business development and growth ambitions
- Lead client pitch development
- Lead client calls and build client relationships
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5-6 years of relevant experience in a financial role within a recognized advisory practice or large corporate setting
- A good appreciation of accounting concepts; an accounting qualification is beneficial
- An in-depth understanding of Project Finance, Corporate Finance, or Financial Planning concepts
- Strong analytical skills with proven experience in building and operating financial models using Excel
- Degree qualified in a numerate discipline
- A postgraduate qualification in accounting or finance is beneficial
- Experience with the FAST financial modeling standard is desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
