About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Quickly diagnose equipment failures and malfunctions
  • Consult knowledge bases to identify appropriate solutions
  • Repair defective equipment and perform testing procedures at each stage
  • Install new hardware and deploy the required software
  • Prevent failures through imaging, backup, and alert-system implementation activities
  • Provide user support and follow up on support requests
  • Record equipment receipt and returns
  • Place hardware orders and monitor off-site inventory
  • Track service interventions in OMTI
  • Prepare reports and close tickets
  • Communicate with the team leader in the event of a malfunction, delay, or specific issue
  • Work in the retail sector on rotating shifts between 7:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Vocational qualification through to a three-year post-secondary degree, such as a BTS or DUT specializing in computer systems and software, or demonstrated experience in the IT sector
  • Autonomy and professionalism
  • Strong stress-management skills
  • Thoroughness and adherence to internal instructions and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of networks and Wi-Fi
  • Knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems
  • Experience in the retail environment, particularly with POS systems, customer displays, and network/back-office infrastructure
  • Knowledge of Apple iOS (tablets)
  • Knowledge of server operating systems, whether virtualized or physical, for back-office environments
  • Availability for extensive travel, averaging approximately 50,000 km per year
  • Availability to work occasional weekends and public holidays
  • A valid driving license is implicitly required for field travel
