About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a deeply embedded People Business Partner to the Operations organization
- Support a large, fast-moving exempt and non-exempt workforce
- Provide day-to-day employee experience support
- Coach Supervisors and Managers on feedback, expectations, leadership, and employee issues
- Lead employee relations matters involving performance, policies, leaves, attendance, and sensitive situations
- Guide goal setting, performance improvement, recognition, and fair decision-making
- Help leaders apply People policies and practices consistently
- Partner with Talent Activation, People Operations, and Legal when needed
- Build relationships across Operations and understand day-to-day business realities
- Use engagement signals and leader conversations to identify risks and opportunities
- Run evergreen programs and special projects improving performance, feedback, learning, and engagement
- Support annual and quarterly planning and roadmapping for Operations people priorities
- Use quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends and shape people decisions proactively
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of experience in an HRBP or People Partner role
- Experience supporting a multi-state, fast-paced workforce
- Strong experience supporting non-exempt populations
- Experience supporting both exempt and non-exempt employees
- Frontline or customer-facing operational experience is advantageous
- Experience developing first-time managers, especially frontline managers
- Ability to coach leaders, deliver direct feedback, and build credibility
- Excellent judgment balancing empathy, risk, and business needs
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Ability to manage a dynamic portfolio of work and follow through reliably
- Clear, adaptable communication skills
- Strong documentation and ability to simplify complex issues
- Analytical and systems-minded approach
- Ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends
- Ability to work onsite in New York City three days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- Authorization to work lawfully in the United States
- Must indicate whether immigration-related employment sponsorship will be required
