About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Research prospects using funding, grant, program launch and public announcement signals to create personalized outreach
  • Run calls, emails, LinkedIn and sequences across core segments and book discovery meetings
  • Lead first conversations to understand goals, decision processes, timing and funding paths, then qualify opportunities
  • Hand off qualified opportunities to Account Executives
  • Follow community and organizational protocols and prioritize listening
  • Maintain thoughtful follow-up across long sales cycles
  • Keep CRM activity, stages, next steps and stakeholder notes accurate
  • Use AI tools to research, scale outreach and analyze performance
  • Represent Growcer at conferences, farm tours and events and convert contacts into pipeline
  • Respond to inbound inquiries and connect prospects with the appropriate next step
  • Carry a monthly quota of discovery meetings booked and qualified opportunities accepted
  • Learn the offer, segments and sales process; shadow discovery calls and community meetings
  • Run outreach sequences, lead discovery conversations and achieve the monthly quota

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience carrying a quota as an SDR, BDR or similar, ideally selling B2B software to mid-market or enterprise buyers; or recent graduate with demonstrated drive through leadership, competitions, a student franchise, or starting a business
  • Strong spoken and written English
  • French is an asset; bilingualism in English and French is an asset
  • Comfortable with AI tools and current on modern prospecting
  • Organized across many conversations at once
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
  • Must hold a valid driver's licence
  • Experience with Indigenous communities, schools, nonprofits, higher education or healthcare is an asset
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30%
