About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Find, run and sign container farm deals with First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities and Tribal Nations across Canada and the USA
  • Self-source new pipeline through outbound, referrals, events and community relationships
  • Convert Business Development conversations into qualified opportunities
  • Conduct discovery meetings and stakeholder meetings
  • Partner with Business Development, Marketing and Funding Strategy to prioritize regions and communities
  • Run consultative discovery covering food goals, decision process, site, timing and funding
  • Build business cases and present proposals, budgetary estimates and business cases to leadership and council
  • Navigate community decision-making processes and drive deals through resolutions, payment terms and agreements to signature and deposit
  • Meet leadership in person before deals are forecast to close
  • Hand off completed deals to Operations and Customer Success for installation and onboarding
  • Build long-term relationships with Chief and Council and Health, Education, Lands/Water and Economic Development stakeholders
  • Travel to communities for site visits, council presentations and signing ceremonies
  • Represent Growcer at Indigenous and Tribal conferences, gatherings and trade shows
  • Manage event outreach, booth coverage and event-generated pipeline
  • Maintain accurate pipeline stages, next steps, close dates and stakeholder notes in HubSpot
  • Report weekly KPIs, provide accurate forecasts and flag risks early
  • Share community feedback to improve offers, materials and processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of B2B sales closing complex, high-ticket deals with long cycles (12+ months)
  • Proven record of hitting or beating quota on multi-stakeholder deals of $200K+
  • Strong asset: selling heavy or construction equipment, health services or clinic equipment, solar or other infrastructure
  • Asset: selling to First Nations, Indigenous communities, Tribal Nations, or public sector, health, education or economic development buyers
  • Strong presentation skills, comfortable in front of Chief and Council and senior leaders
  • Valid driver's license
  • Frequent travel across Canada and the USA, including remote and fly-in communities
  • Some work outside normal hours across time zones
  • Transactional or inside-sales-only backgrounds won't be a fit
