About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Write and test code incrementally, using agile practices and thorough documentation
- Conduct code reviews and support colleagues in making difficult design decisions
- Continuously test, deploy, and monitor code in production
- Develop new tools to support and optimize the team’s work
- Collaborate with colleagues from peer teams to evolve the ecosystem
- Work on strategic projects for Grupo Boticário
- Maintain the payments platform, identifying issues, root causes, and impacts
- Help shape and decide, together with the team, the future of the payments platform
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience designing, implementing, and deploying software solutions to production
- Knowledge of Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot
- Knowledge of Kafka
- Interest in and knowledge of data structures
- Experience with microservices
- Experience with monitoring and logging
- Experience with scheduled tasks
- Knowledge of REST and event-driven architecture
- Experience with unit and integration testing
- A critical perspective on performance and security
- Strong understanding of software quality, system evolution, problem decomposition, and abstraction
- Strong ability to learn new practices, technologies, programming languages, and engineering cultures
- Proficiency in Git or another collaborative version control system
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis for software issues
- Experience with load testing
- Ability to mediate conflicts and help refine user stories
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases
- Preferred: experience with payment methods or banking
