About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the team’s development and career management, from recruiting new team members through creating Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and providing ongoing feedback
- Conduct strategic planning and serve as the owner or co-owner of the planning process
- Contribute to product planning discussions by identifying enablers and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Foster a Software Engineering culture using the company’s technology stacks and best practices
- Strengthen knowledge sharing, continuous learning, feedback, and transparency
- Contribute to and support technical decisions related to Architecture, Documentation, Technical Debt, Quality, Security, SRE, DevOps, and Data Engineering
- Drive the evolution of software development processes
- Manage the Kanban flow, dependencies, risks, crises, and incidents
- Support backlog management and the Workflow Roadmap
- Participate in ceremonies, encourage autonomy and empowerment, and use metrics for continuous improvement
- Build digital People Management products for the franchise network, from employee registration to intelligent shift scheduling
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in the direct management of software development professionals
- Experience developing platforms and distributed systems
- Knowledge of and hands-on experience with projects using JavaScript, Node.js, React, REST APIs, Microfrontend, Design Systems, and NoSQL databases
- Experience with microservices- and event-driven architecture
- Experience with cloud and DevOps, including infrastructure as code
- Experience with the development lifecycle and evolution of digital products
- Experience working in agile teams, with Kanban and Lean practices
- Analytical skills for making data-driven decisions
