About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate the results of environment improvement and maintenance initiatives through technical analysis and reporting, ensuring the quality of services delivered by the department
- Maintain the operation of IT services running in the unit’s data centers by coordinating monitoring, periodic on-site checks, and preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment and links
- Ensure the operation of IT services for users by handling and tracking requests, setting priorities, assigning tasks, performing equipment maintenance and repairs, and managing the technical team
- Supervise and manage projects assigned to the IT team, applying project management techniques and ensuring delivery of the defined scope
- Participate in systems projects by proposing appropriate technologies and assessing their impact on the existing infrastructure
- Contribute to the planning, coordination, and implementation of contingency plans and projects from other departments that require IT support
- Specify IT equipment to be purchased and identify the most suitable options
- Coordinate IT infrastructure interventions by hiring third-party providers, monitoring their services, and ensuring execution in accordance with Santa Cruz standards
- Promote the team’s personal and professional development, training, and continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Technology or a related field
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Knowledge of equipment such as servers, storage systems, tape libraries, and SAN switches, as well as storage and backup software
- Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, and other databases
- Knowledge of SAP ERP, BW, BO, PI, and Solution Manager systems
