About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work closely with Engineering and Product teams to develop comprehensive test strategies for new features and releases across web, API, and mobile platforms
Create and update automated tests as features change
Incrementally expand automation coverage based on the backlog and reduce the scope of manual regression
Increase automated end-to-end, smoke, and regression test coverage across UI, backend, and mobile components
Develop ad-hoc testing scripts as necessary
Prioritize and fix flaky tests
Cover manually caught and customer-reported bugs with automated tests

Requirements

What you’ll need

Understanding of trading workflows, including order matching, order lifecycle, market data, trade data, and risk
Experience testing REST API, Web-Sockets, GraphQL, and JSON-RPC protocols, especially in trading systems
Familiarity with UI automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, or BDD Cucumber
Familiarity with backend automation tools such as Rest-Assured, Karate, PyTest, Postman, or SOAPUI
Familiarity with mobile automation tools such as Appium, Detox, or Katalon
Familiarity with test management tools such as Testrail, Jira Xray, Zephyr, or Allure
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Github Actions, Jenkins, or AWS Codebuild
Familiarity with log analysis tools such as Grafana, Splunk, Datadog, or ELK stack
Familiarity with Firebase, AWS Device Farm, Browserstack, or Lambdatest
Proficient in Python or Golang and Typescript
Prior experience with cryptocurrency exchanges, trading platforms, or fintech preferred
Familiarity with Blockchain or DeFi applications and Web-3 wallets such as Metamask preferred
Experience with performance and load testing tools such as K6, JMeter, or Locust preferred
Experience with security testing tools such as OWASP ZAP or BurpSuite preferred
