About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Facilitate and/or contribute to asset strategy and evidence strategy
  • Lead development of the integrated project plan aligned with therapeutic-area strategy, prioritization, and pipeline performance objectives
  • Own the single integrated plan, including schedules, budgets, dependencies, and assumptions
  • Lead options planning and generate recommendations, alternatives, and trade-offs
  • Lead team preparation for governance decisions and own schedule, risk, and budget inputs
  • Identify opportunities to accelerate critical-path and near-critical-path activities
  • Monitor project plans, manage risks and issues, coordinate cross-functional handoffs, and escalate to leadership
  • Ensure rigor, consistency, compliance, and high-quality data and reporting in project systems
  • Build trusting relationships with teams and stakeholders
  • Facilitate regular project team meetings and maintain agendas, actions, minutes, and documentation
  • Establish effective team communication, decision-making, and conflict-resolution practices
  • Promote GSK’s Code and values, psychological safety, diverse perspectives, and broad participation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS degree in a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of project management experience in a matrix team environment in pharmaceutical R&D or related industry
  • Experience in all aspects of project management based on established PM principles and methods, including scenario analysis, risk management, planning and execution, critical path management, lessons learned, communication and reporting
  • Experience building and maintaining project plans, budget and resource forecasts, and project management documentation
  • Experience using established PM planning tools, such as Planisware and MS Project
  • Experience facilitating project team meetings
  • Experience preparing for governance interactions to enable funding, resourcing, and strategic and operational project decisions
  • Experience leading and facilitating identification, visualization, and acceleration of the project’s critical path
  • Ability to present critical path activities and dependencies to project stakeholders
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field
  • Preferred: PMP Certification
  • Preferred: Oncology experience
  • Understanding of drug development and organizational knowledge
  • Experience guiding teams to develop recommendations and options inclusive of benefit, cost, and risk trade-offs
