About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide project management support for Oncology Translational Medicine strategic initiatives and the OTM Leadership Team
- Lead operational oversight of external alliances and academic collaborations focused on biomarker discovery and acceleration
- Establish alliance objectives, scope, and success metrics with scientific and business leads
- Coordinate partner meetings, joint project teams, and working groups; document and follow up on decisions, actions, and risks
- Translate collaboration strategies into integrated project plans covering scope, milestones, dependencies, critical paths, and risks
- Track alliance workplans for biomarker discovery and assay development and align partner deliverables with internal needs and timelines
- Monitor milestones and KPIs, coordinate course corrections, and manage cross-functional mitigation plans
- Support contracting activities, statements of work, budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and reconciliation
- Build and maintain integrated plans for CPMS components of regulatory submissions across the Oncology portfolio
- Organize CPMS documentation and track contributions to regulatory submissions and compliance requirements
- Track required documents, reviews, and approvals; identify submission-readiness gaps and coordinate mitigation and escalation
- Coordinate creation and maintenance of Diagnostic Target Profiles and manage the associated database
- Coordinate stakeholders across OTM, Oncology Research Unit, Clinical Operations, Data Management, Regulatory, Finance, and external collaborators
- Maintain dashboards and decision logs, oversee budgets and resources, manage risks and interdependencies, and report to the OTM Leadership Team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or related discipline
- Strong background and experience in Oncology
- Demonstrated experience and understanding and application of Project Management principles, concepts, practices, and standards
- Minimum of 10 years of project/program or alliance management experience supporting biomarker and/or diagnostic development programs in the diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry
- Solid understanding of scientific operational needs, including outsourcing processes, vendor management, and scientific study plans
- Knowledge and experience in drug discovery and development, clinical trial design, principles of clinical development, Dx development, and regulatory submissions
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with remote meeting tools such as MS Teams and WebEx
- Working understanding of innovative AI technologies such as Claude, CoPilot, ChatGPT, GiGi, and Jules
- Advanced scientific degree, PMP or PRINCE2 certification, data/AI/real-world evidence initiatives, and matrix-organization project management experience are advantageous
- Ability to work effectively with external partners and internal stakeholders at multiple levels
- Ability to translate complex scientific and regulatory requirements into executable plans and tracking frameworks
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
