About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers supporting a GSK biologic product
  • Understand the reimbursement and distribution landscape for specialist customers
  • Identify and refer customers to appropriate reimbursement and distribution resources within GSK guidelines
  • Maintain current knowledge and data regarding severe asthma therapeutic expertise
  • Provide product educational programs and in-services to customers
  • Work within compliance guidelines and GSK values
  • Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales
  • Develop and implement customer-specific strategies across account stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, PAs, and office managers
  • Build and maintain relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers, Medical Science Liaisons, and other internal functions
  • Manage allocated financial resources effectively
  • Provide customer service by responding to customer requests, inquiries, and needs
  • Travel regularly to customer sites within the assigned territory

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience or 2+ years of business-to-business sales
  • Ability to travel domestically as necessary, including possible overnight and/or weekend travel
  • Must live in or near the assigned geography/territory; no relocation assistance
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience selling into primary care, specialty clinics, or hospital systems is preferred
  • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills are preferred
  • Ability to identify unique sales opportunities and perform tasks beyond designated responsibilities is preferred
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills are preferred
  • Strong business planning and multitasking skills are preferred
  • Respiratory product experience is preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with managed care plans, insurance formularies, retail pharmacies, prescription processing, and prior authorizations is preferred
