About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers supporting a GSK biologic product
  • Understand reimbursement and distribution landscapes and refer customers to appropriate GSK resources
  • Maintain current severe asthma therapeutic knowledge and data
  • Provide product educational programs and in-services to customers
  • Work within compliance guidelines and GSK values
  • Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales
  • Develop and implement customer-specific strategies for physicians, nurses, PAs, and business/office managers
  • Build and maintain relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers, Medical Science Liaisons, and other GSK functions
  • Manage allocated financial resources
  • Respond to customer requests, inquiries, and needs
  • Travel regularly to customer sites within the assigned territory
  • Complete administrative activities remotely or from home

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience or 2+ years of business-to-business sales
  • Ability to travel domestically as necessary, including possible overnight and/or weekend travel
  • Must live within or near the assigned geography/territory; no relocation assistance
  • Valid driver's license
  • Experience selling into primary care, specialty clinics, or hospital systems preferred
  • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to identify unique sales opportunities and perform tasks beyond designated responsibilities preferred
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills preferred
  • Strong business planning and multitasking abilities preferred
  • Respiratory product experience preferred
  • Familiarity with managed care plans, insurance formularies, and retail pharmacies preferred
