About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product
  • Understand the reimbursement and distribution landscape for specialist customers and refer them to appropriate resources
  • Maintain current knowledge and data regarding severe asthma therapeutic expertise
  • Provide product educational programs and in-services to customers
  • Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales
  • Develop and implement customer-specific strategies for primary care physicians, allergists, pulmonologists, nurses, PAs, and business/office managers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers, Medical Science Liaisons, and other GSK functions
  • Manage allocated financial resources effectively
  • Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer requests, inquiries, and needs
  • Travel regularly to customer sites within the assigned territory covering Cincinnati, Delhi, Middletown, Hamilton, and Fairfield, Ohio

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience or 2+ years business-to-business sales
  • Ability to travel domestically as necessary, including overnight and/or weekend travel
  • Must live in the geography; no relocation assistance
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience selling into primary care, specialty clinics, or hospital systems is preferred
  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to identify unique sales opportunities and perform tasks beyond designated responsibilities
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills
  • Strong business planning skills and ability to multi-task
  • Respiratory product experience is a major plus but not necessary
  • Familiarity with managed care plans, insurance formularies, and retail pharmacies, including prescription processing and prior authorizations
  • Ability to work within GSK compliance guidelines and values
  • Scientific literacy and digital fluency
