About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead Digital and Tech delivery for one or more large strategic technology programs
Own program governance, delivery, financial management, and value-outcome reporting
Lead GSK R&D’s migration to and adoption of a single cloud capability
Define program outcomes and value and secure business case approval
Provide executive governance, status reporting, and strategic oversight
Define budgets, secure funding, manage spend, and maintain budget discipline
Establish decision rights, governance forums, and reporting cadence
Manage cross-functional risks, issues, and dependencies
Build the project team and establish structure and resourcing
Own vendor relationships, contracts, and commercial accountability
Challenge cloud providers and technology partners on plans, estimates, and quality
Deliver agreed milestones on time and in full
Track and report value delivery against the approved business case
Champion AI-enabled and automated delivery methods
Ensure compliance with GSK policies and standards, including GxP where applicable
Maintain information security controls throughout program delivery
Transition solutions into business-as-usual support and maintenance
Promote trust, psychological safety, collaboration, inclusion, and brilliant basics
Attract, develop, and support outstanding people

Requirements

What you’ll need

12+ years of significant experience in technology program management within a complex, global organization
Track record leading large, complex enterprise transformation programs from business case approval through delivery and transition into BAU
Direct ownership of end-to-end program outcomes, including governance, risk management, and complex dependency management
Proven track record driving program delivery, automation, and cycle-time improvement
Experience presenting to and influencing CIOs, executive committees, and senior business and technology leadership teams
Experience defining budgets, securing funding, managing spend, and tracking value against an approved business case
Experience owning major supplier relationships, including vendor selection, contract governance, and commercial accountability
Working knowledge of cloud transformation concepts
Understanding of AI and automation in large-scale technology delivery and migrations
Background in digital/tech, operations, or related fields
Preferred: experience in pharma, life sciences, or highly regulated environments
Preferred: experience leading large-scale cloud migration or cloud consolidation programs
Preferred: prior technical leadership followed by program or transformation leadership
Preferred: experience with GxP, information security, and compliance requirements
Preferred: experience with AI-enabled or automated delivery methodologies
