About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prospect and target healthcare providers whose patients may benefit from Shield for CRC and other cancer screening technologies
  • Meet or exceed sales goals
  • Drive strategic business expansion and collaboration opportunities with primary care practices
  • Create territory business plans incorporating national brand strategy and marketing initiatives
  • Acquire and maintain laboratory and phlebotomy draw agreements, including in-services, specimen collection training, workflow support, and issue resolution
  • Identify and share marketplace opportunities and best practices with sales, marketing, customer experience, laboratory operations, and leadership
  • Monitor competitive activity and trends within assigned markets
  • Plan persuasive approaches and pitches to win potential customers
  • Implement promotional and marketing activities in accordance with industry standards and company policies
  • Utilize internal stakeholders to resolve customer needs
  • Collaborate across departments and coordinate with sales positions to achieve company goals
  • Represent Guardant Health’s culture to external and internal constituents
  • Travel daily within the assigned territory and periodically outside the territory for meetings and conferences
  • Uphold company mission and values
  • Support and comply with the Quality Management System policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of direct experience in a customer-facing sales role in the healthcare space, preferably in diagnostics, medical device and/or pharmaceutical sales
  • Outstanding strategic sales account planning skills
  • Superior listening and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a very high level of confidentiality
  • Strong administrative skills and sophistication to manage business in complex environments
  • Proficiency in in-person, phone, and virtual selling environments
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to conduct field office and customer visits
  • Ability to meet specific doctor office and health clinic entry/access requirements
  • Ability to travel daily throughout the territory as needed
  • Ability to identify and partner with national, regional and local laboratories that offer phlebotomy draw agreements
  • Ability to demonstrate curiosity, sound judgment, and critically evaluate and responsibly leverage AI-enabled tools in accordance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Background screening including criminal history is required
