About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform routine calibrations, measurements, and basic triaging and repairs on instruments and equipment
- Record calibration data according to GDP and maintain calibration certificates and logs
- Assist with calibration reports and documentation for audits and quality reviews
- Identify and report measurement discrepancies or non-conformances
- Participate in metrology and calibration training and development
- Follow company safety policies and procedures
- Coordinate and schedule calibration/preventative maintenance events with laboratories
- Evaluate equipment fitness for use and verify performance within specified parameters
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree in Metrology, Mechanical Engineering, or a combination of education, training, and/or experience in a related field
- 0-2 years of experience in metrology or a related technical field
- Understanding of basic metrology concepts
- Ability to follow standard procedures and perform routine calibration tasks
- Experience authoring and executing calibrations, preventative maintenance, repair work, and other service-related work and documentation
- Ability to communicate and collaborate in-person or via email with internal and external customers from diverse scientific, engineering, operational, and regulatory disciplines
- Adaptability to a fast-paced changing environment
- Demonstrated independent and self-motivated professional capable of handling several tasks with minimal supervision
- Participation in an on-call rotation with after-hours/weekend response as needed
- Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed
- Ability to critically evaluate and responsibly leverage AI-enabled tools in accordance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
- Background screening including criminal history is required
