About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute a targeted growth strategy across Northern UK and Ireland
  • Partner with customers’ engineering, design and procurement teams to identify application requirements

  • Develop strategic customer partnerships and uncover new market opportunities
  • Convert design wins into long-term revenue growth
  • Build trusted relationships with key customers through proactive engagement
  • Identify, qualify and develop new opportunities within existing and prospective accounts
  • Collaborate with distribution partners to expand market reach and accelerate revenue growth
  • Apply a consultative sales approach to align Molex solutions with customer business objectives
  • Develop and implement account plans for pipeline development, opportunity conversion, profitability and market share growth
  • Monitor customer priorities, industry trends, market developments and competitor activity
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, marketing and operations teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 years’ experience as a technical sales professional
  • Proven record of growth, technical design-in demand creation and new business development
  • Ability to build trusted customer and partner relationships
  • Consultative sales approach and ability to understand customer needs
  • Account planning, pipeline management and opportunity conversion skills
  • Effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills across all organizational levels
  • Experience working directly with customers and through distribution or channel partners
  • Self-motivated, collaborative and accountable for achieving business goals
  • Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • Technical design-in experience, ideally in the connector industry or electronic components
  • Experience selling technical products within Aerospace & Defense, Datacenter, Industrial and Automotive sectors
  • Experience interacting with Molex distribution network partners
  • Ideally located in North of UK
  • Experience using SAP and Salesforce systems
