About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a technical subject matter expert on the Annuity Product Management and Development Team
- Provide system expertise in the design, development, maintenance, launch, and sale of Guardian’s individual annuities
- Lead development of detailed specifications for new annuity products and enhancements
- Drive consensus among cross-functional stakeholders on product features, business rules, and system functionality
- Manage the development lifecycle and communicate requirements, updates, and changes
- Evaluate new product concepts for operational and technical feasibility
- Review and approve contract, rider, and prospectus language
- Develop and maintain illustration systems
- Review problem resolutions and exception requests
- Review and approve test cases and testing results
- Identify testing gaps and request additional scenarios
- Liaise between Product and Technology teams, translating business requirements into ALIP configuration and design
- Lead design, development, implementation, and maintenance of client-facing regulatory communications
- Partner with IT, Operations, Compliance, and Legal teams
- Participate in weekly deployment of annuity product new business and renewal rates
- Update spreadsheets for in-force rates using Investments/Actuarial data
Requirements
What you’ll need- Expert-level knowledge of annuity product design, administration systems, and product configurations
- BA/BS+ or equivalent work experience
- Strong writing and proofreading skills
- 10+ years in financial services
- 5+ years working with policy administration systems
- Advanced skill level in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Proven experience leading the implementation of new product launches and enhancements (preferred)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future
