About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage and work with Team Leads and their combined pods, setting clear performance expectations and holding regular one-on-ones
Own segment-level SLA, aging, and quality metrics across in-scope AML workstreams
Drive corrective action plans where targets slip
Serve as the escalation point for complex Transaction Monitoring alerts, ambiguous typology matches, and cross-functional queries
Run regular calibration sessions with Quality Assurance for TM alerts, EDD assessments, and SAR quality
Plan shift rosters, leave, and capacity with workforce management to maintain SLA coverage
Translate typology, regulatory guidance, and internal policy updates into revised SOPs and floor communications
Conduct performance reviews, PIPs, and coaching plans for Team Leads
Approve QA-driven coaching plans for analysts
Consolidate and present segment-level dashboards covering volume, aging, quality, attrition, and productivity to the Manager weekly/monthly
Liaise with Compliance, Legal, and Training on case-specific queries, policy interpretation, and escalations requiring sign-off

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of overall experience in AML/Financial Crime compliance operations
At least 2 years directly supervising teams or Team Leads
Strong, demonstrable experience in Transaction Monitoring (TM), including alert investigation, disposition quality, and typology-based decisioning at a review/oversight level
Proven experience managing KYC/CDD, EDD, PEP Review, and SAR Filing workstreams concurrently
Experience managing SLA/quality performance across a segment
Working knowledge of TM/case management systems such as Actimize, SAS AML, or Verafin
Working knowledge of reporting tools
Prior supervisory experience in a crypto/virtual asset transaction monitoring environment, including oversight of on-chain analytics or VASP-related due diligence
Working knowledge of blockchain analytics platforms such as Chainalysis, Elliptic, or TRM Labs
Familiarity with crypto-specific regulatory expectations, including the FATF Travel Rule and Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation
