About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create and implement pricing and access strategies for pharmaceutical assets
- Work with senior staff to develop project proposals
- Manage consulting teams in developing and communicating client deliverables
- Maintain client relationships
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Oversee development and review of project deliverables for strategic framing, appropriate methods, and client standards
- Facilitate client presentations and manage client relationships
- Support business development and the project sales cycle
- Manage and develop staff, including performance management of direct reports
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and staffing
- Create corporate- and product-level market access strategies across product development stages
- Design and manage qualitative and quantitative pharmaceutical market access and pricing strategy projects
- Oversee materials development and facilitate discussions
- Design and lead primary interviews with payers and KOLs
- Build Excel-based financial models for price-access scenarios and pricing recommendations
- Construct practice economic analyses across settings of care and financial ecosystems
- Present to executive-level audiences with actionable insights and recommendations
- Train and develop junior consulting staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree; major course of study in science, biomedical engineering, business, or healthcare policy preferred
- 6+ years of transferable consulting or relevant biotechnology/pharmaceutical work experience in market access, reimbursement, pricing, health economics, forecasting, and/or pipeline strategy
- 3+ years of direct experience in client management and content delivery roles
- Demonstrated project management skills, initiative, resourcefulness, leadership, and strategic and creative thinking
- Keen attention to detail
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, including communicating clinical and business implications of technically complex products and services
- Demonstrated track record managing direct reports and teams of experienced consultants, including managers and consultants
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including drug development and launch
- Experience developing, designing, and executing qualitative and quantitative market research
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong market research skills
- Deep experience with Part A / hospital inpatient pricing and reimbursement, Part B / medical benefit pricing, Part D / contracting, and gross-to-net calculations
- Strong understanding of health economic methodologies and value pricing constructs
- Familiarity with current pricing and access laws and proposed pricing policy
- Track record of thought leadership, written or podium
- Advanced degree such as MBA, MPH, MS, or PhD preferred
- No security clearance required
