About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and predictive modeling initiatives supporting Navy readiness modernization
Develop predictive and prescriptive analytical solutions for supply chain optimization, weapon system sustainment, inventory positioning, and operational readiness
Oversee development of machine learning models, simulations, forecasting capabilities, and optimization algorithms
Lead analytical activities supporting senior leader decision-making environments
Establish analytical methodologies, validation procedures, and model governance frameworks
Translate operational requirements into actionable analytical solutions and recommendations
Mentor Data Scientists and Data Analysts while guiding technical execution across workstreams
Collaborate with Government stakeholders to identify readiness risks, logistics constraints, and operational opportunities
Support enterprise reporting, executive decision-making, and campaign plan initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active and maintained Top Secret Federal or DoD security clearance
Bachelor's degree
Seven (7) or more years of relevant experience in data science, advanced analytics, machine learning, or applied statistics
Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (nice to have)
Experience supporting Navy, DoD, or defense logistics programs (nice to have)
Experience with Databricks, Palantir Foundry, Qlik, MSS, or NDP (nice to have)
Experience with AI governance and Responsible AI implementation (nice to have)
Knowledge of readiness reporting and operational sustainment analytics (nice to have)
Expert-level experience with Python, SQL, and statistical modeling techniques (nice to have)
Experience building predictive, diagnostic, and prescriptive analytics solutions (nice to have)
Experience working with large-scale operational, logistics, maintenance, or supply chain datasets (nice to have)
Experience leading technical teams and complex analytical initiatives (nice to have)
Experience presenting analytical findings to executive leadership (nice to have)
