About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage clients, implement solutions, and deliver project results as a NERC CIP Subject Matter Expert
- Connect Guidehouse consulting solutions to client problems
- Facilitate sales processes and support sales and growth targets within the Risk, Compliance, Security Team
- Establish and lead project workstreams
- Interact with clients and Guidehouse experts to ensure engagement success
- Support day-to-day operational meetings with client sponsors and internal team leaders
- Leverage industry connections to foster client and firm success across North America
- Establish business development opportunities and communicate Guidehouse solutions and presentations to client and internal executives
- Lead, coach, and mentor consultants
- Ensure quality deliverables and maximize customer success through integrating sales and project delivery
- Support or establish and facilitate business development meetings and foster industry relationships
- Support or lead workstreams assessing and enhancing business strategies, operating plans, business processes, organizational structures, and infrastructure for North American clients
- Conduct NERC audits, improve NERC Compliance and Cybersecurity processes, analyze internal controls, and implement process improvements
- Apply technical competencies with clients and potential clients
- Analyze NERC and related strategy implementation and compliance efforts
- Communicate solutions and new strategies through meetings, reports, and presentations
- Provide detailed fact finding, research, and analysis
- Support and/or ensure quality of deliverables to meet client expectations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a US Permanent Resident or US Citizen due to nature of client engagements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business, cybersecurity, security management, homeland security, information security, information technology, or related discipline
- Minimum Five (5+) plus years' post-graduation work experience within the electric utility, electric power, energy or a NERC related regulator
- Strong Utilities industry relationships
- Strong project management skills
- Strong communications skills, including both written and verbal
- Strong critical analysis and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed organizational and management skills
- Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities without diminished effectiveness
- Currently reside in the contiguous United States
- Ability to travel to include potential international as needed
- Ability to work onsite in a Guidehouse Office or Client Office location
- Preference will be given to candidates within reasonable driving distance of core Guidehouse Office or Client Office Location
- Additional working years of experience in a Reliability Compliance field for an electric utility, Regional Entities, ISO, PUC, or similarly structured or related regulatory body (nice to have)
- Specific working experience related to Bulk Electric System (BES) and power systems, Electrical Reliability, NERC/FERC Enforcement or Auditing, or NERC Operations and Planning (O&P) (nice to have)
