About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support GuidePoint Security’s Northeast region as part of the NE DevSecOps team
  • Work with the NE AI and AppSec teams on evaluation and governance infrastructure for agentic AI harnesses
  • Define and implement evaluation frameworks measuring accuracy, reliability, and consistency
  • Design and run structured evaluations to detect regressions, output drift, and behavioral degradation
  • Build and maintain benchmark datasets and ground-truth corpora
  • Analyze evaluation results, identify failure modes, and drive iterative improvements
  • Research and apply prompt evaluation techniques and LLM benchmarking methodologies
  • Instrument agentic harnesses with telemetry for latency, token usage, error rates, and output quality
  • Analyze telemetry, identify anomalies, and generate actionable tuning insights
  • Support model and prompt tuning; document changes and measure impact
  • Contribute to an internal AI governance pipeline, including standards, output logging, quality flags, and audit trails
  • Document governance processes, evaluation methodologies, and tuning decisions in version-controlled formats
  • Participate in limited client-facing engagements under mentorship

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently enrolled, or recently graduated with a degree or substantial coursework in data science, statistics, computer science, engineering, or a related field (required)
  • Proficiency or strong interest in Python
  • Exposure to data manipulation libraries (pandas, numpy) or LLM APIs
  • Genuine curiosity about large language models, agentic systems, and applied AI contexts
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills
  • Technical aptitude and comfort working with ambiguity
  • Personal computing device and access to high-speed internet during working hours
  • Must be physically located within the United States during the entire internship
  • Must work 25–29 hours per week, Monday–Friday, supporting the Eastern Time Zone
  • Eastern/Central time zone preferred
  • Not available to candidates living in Alaska, California, Hawaii, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Washington, or Wyoming
