About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete in-house training programs
- Work closely with industry-leading subject matter experts to provide cybersecurity services
- Work on projects that enhance security knowledge and skills
- Support the GuidePoint University program and Application Security Practice
- Gain hands-on technical development, real-world security response experience, collaborative project experience, and team/position shadowing
- Participate in partner-led vendor training and certifications
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be physically located within the United States for the entire internship
- Basic understanding of information technology, networking, operating systems, and security; resume and application must clearly reflect this knowledge
- Exposure to one or more programming languages, including Python, JavaScript, Java, or similar
- Interest in reading and analyzing code
- Genuine passion for information security
- Motivation and eagerness to learn new skills
- Willingness to learn and use AI-enabled tools
- Demonstrated efforts toward entering cybersecurity, such as obtaining certifications, attending trainings, pursuing formal education, participating in industry organizations, or contributing to personal or industry projects
- Must not live in Alaska, California, Hawaii, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Washington, or Wyoming
- Must have a personal computing device and access to high-speed internet during working hours
- Must work the majority of hours between 11am and 4pm EST, Monday through Friday
- Must be available for 25–29 hours per week
