About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Run daily production jobs to completion and distribute reports as needed
- Update production and distribution logs daily or as needed
- Take weekly inventory of printing-related supplies
- Maintain printers with sufficient paper, ribbons, toner, and maintenance kits
- Maintain a clean working environment in work areas and the computer room
- Set up the monthly job schedule and verify accuracy
- Perform monthly updates to PER/ZIP postal coding software
- Monitor EDI, FAX, FTP, and other systems daily and assess overall system performance
- Escalate system errors appropriately
- Handle statement uploads and prints as needed
- Contribute ideas to improve production or the work environment
- Back up tapes daily by copying data to DVD and sending them to an offsite storage vendor
- Initiate data transmittal to vendors such as MERS and FTP
- Provide after-hours support via pager duty as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- Minimum one year IT-related experience maintaining printers and running batch reports
- Flexible schedules required to provide after-hours support
- General working knowledge of physical and system security
- Understanding of how physical and system security systems function
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Strong detail orientation and highly organized
- Prior experience using PDF software programs, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Aptitude for computer technology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications
- Commitment to company values
- Ability to perform printer toner changes and routine equipment maintenance requiring moderate to high manual dexterity
- Ability to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret visual and audio information
- Ability to learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions
- Work primarily during the business week, Monday–Friday
