About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and implement Microsoft 365 features for the organization
  • Promote the health of Microsoft platforms and address failing automations, sprawl, and technical debt
  • Build solutions meeting or exceeding business requirements on SharePoint, Power Platform, and Azure
  • Track development efforts in Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
  • Partner with the business to maintain a prioritized backlog
  • Champion adoption of Microsoft 365 services and support a maker community of citizen developers
  • Create, maintain, and document policies, practices, and governance controls
  • Build and maintain development best practices for Microsoft platforms
  • Monitor feature releases, changes, and bugs related to Microsoft platforms
  • Support and guide junior teammates and help resolve escalated issues
  • Oversee and assign tasks to junior-level systems administrators and contractors
  • Supervise work performed by junior teammates and contractors
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree directly related to the position or equivalent, required
  • Minimum five years experience in system administration related role(s)
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Platforms including SharePoint, Power Platform, and Azure
  • Day-to-day administration of SharePoint, Power Platform, and Azure, including policy and configuration changes
  • Experience supporting the sync and sharing of large volumes of data with OneDrive
  • Advanced skills managing SharePoint, Power Platform, and Azure using PowerShell
  • Understanding of ISACA and SANS Frameworks
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide customer service within a team environment
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and technological periodicals, procedures, and journals
  • Ability to write procedure manuals
  • Ability to train less experienced team members and respond to questions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications
  • Commitment to company values
  • Ability to adhere to process protocol and apply established protocols in a timely manner
  • Ability to work primarily during the business week, Monday–Friday
  • Travel 5% or less
