About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute the Firm’s internal communications strategy and annual plan
  • Lead communications campaigns supporting Firm priorities, operational initiatives, talent programs, cultural initiatives, and strategic objectives
  • Create communications plans, messaging frameworks, stakeholder maps, timelines, and channel strategies
  • Manage the internal communications calendar across offices, practices, and business services functions
  • Develop, edit, and oversee announcements, leadership messages, newsletters, intranet content, presentations, FAQs, talking points, and toolkits
  • Establish editorial standards, templates, workflows, and publishing practices
  • Manage and optimize intranet, collaboration platforms, email, newsletters, and other digital channels
  • Use engagement data, employee feedback, and stakeholder input to improve communications
  • Lead communications for organizational, operational, technology, brand, growth, and cultural change initiatives
  • Partner with leadership, HR, IT, Knowledge Management, Practice Management, and other stakeholders
  • Prepare leaders with executive messages, presentations, talking points, Q&A documents, and communication toolkits
  • Create tools and resources to help leaders and managers communicate effectively with their teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Six or more years of progressive experience in internal communications, employee engagement, change communications, corporate communications, or a closely related field
  • Experience in a law firm, professional services, financial services, or other complex organization strongly preferred
  • Strong writing, editing, and presentation-development skills
  • Experience developing communications plans, campaigns, and content for organizational or business change
  • Strong project-management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
  • Experience supporting senior leaders and managing internal communications channels or platforms
  • Ability to work effectively across a complex organization with sound judgment and discretion
  • Advanced degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience establishing communications governance, editorial processes, content calendars, or channel-management practices preferred
  • Experience using engagement data, employee feedback, or channel analytics to improve communications preferred
