About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute the business development strategy for the Midlands and North UK
  • Own the territory prospect base, sales pipeline, forecasting and territory plan
  • Qualify inbound and self-generated opportunities against commercial, technical and strategic criteria
  • Lead customer meetings, site discussions and commercial presentations
  • Translate customer security, operational and budget requirements into solution strategies and value propositions
  • Coordinate proposals, presentations and commercial submissions
  • Build relationships with new and existing clients and identify cross-selling, upgrade and partnership opportunities
  • Maintain CRM, pipeline and forecasting information
  • Monitor territory projects, market trends and competitor activity
  • Provide commercial updates, escalate risks and recommend actions
  • Represent Gunnebo at trade shows, industry events, partner meetings and customer visits
  • Travel regularly across the Midlands and North UK
  • Establish territory strategy, target-account plan and priority customer, partner and influencer network
  • Create and maintain a high-quality pipeline capable of sustainable growth
  • Maintain opportunity momentum, accurate forecasting and stakeholder communication
  • Lead strategic customer conversations and convert priority opportunities into profitable orders and long-term relationships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrable track record in business development, creating pipeline, developing customer relationships and winning new business
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to generate opportunities, open new accounts and lead commercial conversations
  • Strong organisation and commercial discipline
  • Ability to manage multiple complex opportunities and priorities
  • Ability to collaborate across sales, technical, projects, service and commercial teams
  • Understanding of customer decision-making, procurement routes and stakeholder influence
  • Resilience, energy and sound judgement
  • Experience with developers, architects, consultants, contractors, facilities management providers, system integrators or security integrators advantageous
  • Ability to learn Gunnebo’s products, services, customer sectors and competitive position
  • Strong drive to deliver results and contribute to the wider UK sales strategy
