About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support and assist in reviewing, organizing, and categorizing financial, legal, corporate, real estate, and other documents for importation and metadata entry into G|S’ proprietary document management software
  • Summarize and reconcile formal discovery requests and responses, including document productions, Form Interrogatories, Special Interrogatories, and Requests for Admissions
  • Assist with settlement conference and trial preparation by organizing reports, work paper files, and exhibit lists
  • Liaise with clients, attorneys, and paralegals to send and receive large document productions using secure Sharefile links
  • Meet with senior associates, managers, and partners to discuss case details and objectives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-4+ years of legal, litigation, or paralegal experience within a professional setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and good judgment
  • Strong proactive work ethic, follow through, and punctuality
  • Forward-thinking attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take direction and work well with others
  • Proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft Office
  • Reasonable commuting distance to the San Francisco office
  • Familiarity with legal language and principles, court pleadings and processes, and related matters
  • Prior internship, paralegal, or work experience developing skills required for the position
  • Certificate of an ABA-approved paralegal certification program
