About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist Channel Partners, including Accounting Firms and their Small Business Clients, in selecting Gusto as their preferred platform
  • Consult with and support current and new Channel Partners via phone and email
  • Educate Partners about Gusto Pro and match platform offerings to client needs
  • Provide advisory sales guidance and assist with onboarding
  • Manage high-volume outbound emails and calls across discovery, qualification, sales, decision/commitment, and onboarding stages
  • Make at least 70 calls per day, with approximately 75% of talk time focused on sales activities
  • Maintain accurate notes for Leads and Accounts in Salesforce
  • Use phone and email cadences, talk tracks, and other strategies to advise Partners and Clients
  • Educate Partners about the partnership program and certification process
  • Lead discussions to help Partners leverage Gusto Pro for successful business outcomes
  • Drive awareness and usage of new or updated Gusto Pro features and integrations
  • Support Clients through implementation and account setup
  • Address customer needs and concerns with empathy and product knowledge
  • Present solutions through advisory selling
  • Participate in community and career development opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience in a sales role
  • At least 2 years of experience in Inside or Outside Sales, Insurance Sales, Retention, and/or Customer Success
  • Experience making high-volume outbound dials and/or prospecting leads
  • Previous Salesforce experience
  • Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Desire to enhance your craft
  • Active engagement with AI tools relevant to the role and willingness to grow AI fluency
  • Secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection when working from an approved non-office location
