About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Shape AI-native HR experiences end to end for small-business customers
  • Lead service design across customer, AI, and human HR expert interactions through journey mapping and blueprinting
  • Make and defend judgment calls about AI outputs, human-in-the-loop decisions, and failure states
  • Ground work in a specific customer while maintaining a high craft bar from strategy through pixel-level execution
  • Partner with product management, engineering, and data as a co-owner of product direction
  • Frame ambiguous problems and spearhead clarity
  • Set experience targets, ship to customers, and use learnings to refine direction
  • Conduct and direct research with customers and HR experts in a compliance-sensitive domain

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of product design experience owning and shipping work in a B2B SaaS environment, with robust craft across web
  • Experience designing AI-enabled or conversational experiences shipped to real users
  • Experience handling uncertainty, errors, and human override in AI experiences
  • Experience in service design for products with two sides or multiple stakeholders
  • Real journey mapping and blueprinting experience, including operational handoffs
  • Judgment to evaluate and direct AI outputs
  • Comfort with ambiguity
  • Collaboration and communication across design, product, engineering, and data
  • AI fluency and active engagement with AI tools relevant to the role
  • Bonus: Experience in a high-stakes or regulated domain such as HR, compliance, fintech, legal, or healthcare
  • Bonus: Experience helping lead a team's shift to AI-native workflows
  • Bonus: Background contributing to AI governance, evaluation practices, or AI experience design patterns
