About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Enable stakeholders to make data-driven decisions
- Bridge raw data transformation and business decision-making
- Own cross-functional data modeling and deliver stakeholder-ready dashboards end to end
- Build and optimize SQL and dbt data models for reporting and analysis
- Develop, monitor, maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot data pipelines
- Implement data quality checks and validation routines
- Contribute to large-scale projects such as the transition to GCP
- Document data models, transformations, and business logic
- Collaborate with teams and business stakeholders to define data requirements, business logic, and reporting needs
- Assist in designing and developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations
- Support and guide team members on data-related matters
- Help build a data-driven culture across Hack The Box
- Partner with Finance, Product, Customer Success, Sales, Operations, and leadership teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proficiency in SQL for complex querying, data transformation, and performance optimization
- Experience in data modelling and data pipelines
- Experience in Tableau/Looker or at least one similar visualization tool
- Experience with Git for version control and collaborative development
- Hands-on experience using AI coding tools to accelerate SQL development, data modeling, and documentation
- Ability to translate complex data models into clear business insights and partner with cross-functional teams to drive requirements
- Full professional fluency in written and verbal English for technical documentation and cross-team collaboration
- Experience with Google Cloud Ecosystem, BigQuery, LookML, Looker, and Airflow or similar tools is a plus
