About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Test and maintain machines, labs, and challenges
Assist in developing new content
Research and adopt new AI technologies for cybersecurity projects
Collaborate daily with the Content Development team, Infrastructure team, and other stakeholders
Create documentation for new content, including writeups and walkthroughs
Research current vulnerabilities, exploits, tools, tactics, and procedures relevant to the target audience
Contribute to the testing, development, review, and ongoing maintenance of Hack The Box Labs and CTF offerings
Work with a global team to create high-quality cybersecurity content
Report to the Head of Offensive Content, Labs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in Penetration Testing
Strong grasp of scripting languages: Python, PowerShell, and Bash
Understanding of process documentation
Knowledge in AI technologies
Excellent knowledge of English language (speaking, reading, writing)
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to learn new skills
Ability to organize and manage multiple projects
Ability to work independently and remotely
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Motivated, with a passion for information security
Bonus: documented bug bounty hunting and/or CTF experience
Bonus: experience in cloud technologies, including Azure/AWS
Bonus: certifications in penetration testing, including CPTS/CBBH
Bonus: Elite Hacker rank on Hack The Box
Bonus: prior creation of vulnerable machines and CTF challenges
Bonus: familiarity with virtualization technologies, including VMware Workstation, ESXi, and vCenter
Bonus: system administration experience with Windows and Linux
