About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage relationships with clients and customers and serve as the main point of contact
  • Manage overall territory, equipment and consumable sales goals, profitability, and account management
  • Develop and execute comprehensive territory plans to increase revenue and secure new business
  • Provide quarterly sales forecasts
  • Partner with cross-functional counterparts, especially Clinical Specialists, to drive technology adoption
  • Maintain existing business, contractual compliance, and incremental business
  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain account data, contacts, and pipeline opportunities in CRM
  • Target new business using analytical tools
  • Identify key influencers and customer needs
  • Educate customers on products, concepts, and industry trends
  • Develop clinical, economic, and technical champions
  • Conduct sales presentations and product evaluations, collect data, and drive customer conversions
  • Arrange multidisciplinary hospital consensus meetings
  • Prepare equipment and consumable quotes and create local contract agreements
  • Secure hospital or departmental capital funding
  • Manage post-sale product implementation from contract to go-live, including device installation, software integration, and laboratory equipment validation
  • Consult internal product development on new products and services
  • Collaborate with key opinion leaders and thought leaders
  • Attend industry conventions and trade shows
  • Provide product feedback to Sales, Marketing, and R&D
  • Attend continuous virtual and live trainings and stay informed on clinical procedures, studies, and competitive innovations
  • Travel approximately 25% on average, based in the Pittsburgh/Ohio area

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors of Arts or Science
  • 6+ years Medical Device and/or Hospital Sales
  • Previous Medical Device sales experience, preferably calling on Interventional Cardiologists, EP’s, Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists and administrators in the targeted territory
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Experienced in negotiation
  • Proven ability to build relationships
  • Thorough knowledge of medical device market, products, and customers
  • A demonstrated strong work ethic coupled with a sense of urgency to accomplish objectives
  • Highly developed business acumen and experience in targeting and prioritizing key customer accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to establish personal credibility in the targeted territory to create a forum for delivering the company’s message to clinical staff, administrators, and physicians and overcome obstacles
  • Emotional Intelligence to manage schedule and clinical resources effectively and efficiently
  • Aggressive strategic thinker and tactical planner who exhibits flexibility, innovativeness and resourcefulness in accomplishing objectives both as a leader and as a player
