About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute the strategic and operational plan directed by Commercial leadership
  • Represent products to new and existing customers while achieving assigned territory sales expectations and quota
  • Drive daily sales objectives focused on territory growth, including new account targeting, cultivation, and launch planning
  • Develop and execute quarterly quota-based territory business plans and sales strategies
  • Direct training and education planning during account launches
  • Present and implement Performance Guarantees in key accounts and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Transfer account knowledge and requested information to the leadership team
  • Gain access to and develop physician champions in targeted accounts using corporate resources
  • Present to physician leaders, executive service line directors, supply chain leaders, and C-suite staff
  • Develop KOL advocates to educate and influence stakeholders regionally and nationally
  • Support corporate account contract discussions with hospital and IDN leadership
  • Facilitate new product approvals, including Value Analysis approval through champion development
  • Provide device suitability guidance and comprehensive technical support involving imaging modalities, EKG, blood pressure, hemodynamic waveforms, and ancillary procedural solutions
  • Coordinate clinical specialists and align the team around the business plan
  • Make clinical and economic presentations to customers, committee members, and relevant staff
  • Build and maintain customer relationships, including KOL cultivation
  • Develop relationships with hospital administrative staff and execute corporate contracts where appropriate
  • Share product knowledge, train new hires, cross-cover territories, share best practices, provide marketing input, and share competitive intelligence
  • Manage territory expenses, product returns, and product inventory
  • Maintain ethical and professional standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science required
  • 5+ years of directly related experience required
  • Medical Device Sales in Interventional Cardiology and/or Structural Heart strongly preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of medical device market, products, and customers
  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
  • Highly developed business acumen and experience targeting and prioritizing key customer accounts
  • Ability to establish personal credibility in the targeted territory and deliver messages to clinical staff, administrators, and physicians while overcoming obstacles
  • Emotional Intelligence to manage schedule and clinical resources effectively and efficiently
  • Previous medical device sales experience, preferably calling on Interventional Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists, and administrators
  • Strategic thinking and tactical planning skills, with flexibility, innovativeness, and resourcefulness
  • Ability to comply with Company policy and procedures, the Quality System, and regulatory requirements
  • Regular domestic travel expectation of 25–50%
