About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute the strategic and operational plan directed by Commercial leadership
  • Represent products to new and existing customers and achieve assigned-territory sales expectations/quota
  • Drive daily sales objectives, territory growth, new-account targeting, cultivation, and launch planning
  • Develop and execute quarterly quota-based territory business plans and sales strategies
  • Direct training and education planning during account launches
  • Present and implement Performance Guarantees and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Transfer account knowledge and requested information to leadership
  • Collaborate with clinical specialists and align teams around the business plan
  • Make clinical and economic presentations to customers, committee members, and relevant staff
  • Build customer relationships, including cultivating and maintaining KOLs
  • Develop hospital administrative relationships and execute corporate contracts where appropriate
  • Provide product knowledge, train new hires, cross-cover territories, share best practices, contribute to marketing programs, and share competitive intelligence
  • Manage territory finances, expenses, product returns, and inventory
  • Gain access to and develop physician champions in targeted accounts
  • Present to physician leaders, service-line directors, supply-chain leadership, and C-suite stakeholders
  • Develop regional and national KOL advocates
  • Support Corporate Accounts contract discussions and new product approvals, including Value Analysis approval
  • Provide device-suitability guidance and technical support covering imaging modalities, EKG, blood pressure, hemodynamic waveforms, and ancillary procedural solutions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science required
  • 5+ years of directly related experience required
  • Medical Device Sales in Interventional Cardiology and/or Structural Heart strongly preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of medical device market, products, and customers
  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency to accomplish objectives
  • Business acumen and experience targeting and prioritizing key customer accounts
  • Ability to establish personal credibility in the targeted territory and deliver messages to clinical staff, administrators, and physicians while overcoming obstacles
  • Emotional Intelligence to manage schedules and clinical resources effectively and efficiently
  • Previous medical device sales experience, preferably calling on Interventional Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists, and administrators
  • Strategic thinking and tactical planning skills, with flexibility, innovativeness, and resourcefulness
  • Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, the Quality System, and regulatory requirements
  • Regular domestic travel of 25–50%
  • Ability to perform the stated physical demands, including frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, keyboarding, and exposure to blood
