About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead discovery and requirements gathering across brands, distributors, and retailers
- Elicit, document, and validate BWS business requirements, use cases, acceptance criteria, data needs, and compliance constraints
- Own the source of truth for scope and changes
- Author project scope, user stories, process maps, and data flows for territories, state pricing, tax and excise, allocations, and unit-of-measure workflows
- Provide technical direction from definition through implementation for the proprietary BWS commerce platform
- Support integrations, content models, and operational handoff
- Manage project timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations
- Configure the platform for BWS needs and support setup and testing
- Develop rigorous QA and UAT plans tailored to BWS scenarios
- Maintain working knowledge of B2B procurement flows and relevant analytics
- Use data to recommend optimizations for conversion, compliance pass rates, and operational efficiency
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver BWS roadmaps aligned with brand and distributor strategy, portfolio priorities, and market expansion
- Provide technical solutions to clients for their eCommerce stores
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Comfortable leading discovery sessions with brand, distributor, retailer, legal, and compliance stakeholders
- Proven client-facing experience in beer, wine, and spirits environments
- General knowledge of eCommerce and back-office integration, including APIs, data transfer patterns, SSO, and procurement connectivity
- Familiarity with EDI concepts is a plus
- Ability to balance long-term roadmap with day-to-day execution and change control
- Data-driven approach using analytics and best practices to influence decisions and measure outcomes
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to deliver under deadlines with high accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively
- Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexible team player able to work overtime when required
- Bachelor's degree in communications, business, or a related field; equivalent experience considered
- 2+ years of experience in eCommerce, product operations, or project management with direct experience in beer, wine, and spirits
- Experience with the three-tier system and BWS compliance strongly preferred
- Background working with BWS data and systems is a plus, including distributor ERPs, inventory and price books by territory, age verification services, OMS, PIM, or DAM
