About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee upkeep and repair of Halter’s on-farm infrastructure
- Diagnose hardware issues and quickly relay information to the appropriate team
- Support farm deployments, troubleshoot issues, and assist with installations
- Provide field insights to product and engineering teams to improve solutions for Australian cattle producers
- Participate in the global on-call roster for tower-related incidents
- Collect, interpret, and analyse hardware data to optimise processes and operational efficiency
- Identify issues proactively before they become problems
- Help build and manage a maintenance system for the Australian market
- Collaborate across Halter teams to drive strong customer outcomes
- Travel regularly to farms across Australia, typically 3–4 days per week with some nights away
- Take on additional tasks needed for Halter’s success in Australia
Requirements
What you’ll need- Practical experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking, or equipment fitting is a must
- Proactive, ownership-oriented, go-getter attitude
- Ability to translate field observations into clear, actionable feedback for remote product and engineering teams
- Strong time-management skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to collaborate across locations and time zones
- Comfortable working in an early-stage, ambiguous market-entry environment
- Commitment to delivering excellent service and maintaining infrastructure
- Willingness to travel regularly and sometimes spontaneously across the region
- Full, clean driver's licence
- Eligibility to work in Australia: Australian citizenship, Australian citizenship or New Zealand permanent residency, valid Australian work permit, or sponsorship requirement disclosed
