About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain and repair Halter’s on-farm hardware infrastructure
  • Diagnose hardware issues and provide feedback to relevant teams
  • Repair and upgrade infrastructure and deliver towers and collars
  • Support on-farm deployments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful installations
  • Participate in the global on-call roster for tower-related incidents
  • Collaborate with hardware, product, customer success, and other Halter teams
  • Resolve technical challenges promptly to minimize disruption to farm operations
  • Collect, interpret, and analyse hardware data to optimize processes and inform decisions
  • Develop and manage a maintenance system for the New Zealand market
  • Travel throughout the North Island and across New Zealand
  • Provide customer service and support across the customer network

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Taranaki based with regular New Zealand travel
  • Practical, hands-on experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking, or equipment fitting is a must
  • Proactive, resourceful approach to solving challenges
  • Ability to manage time and complete tasks on schedule
  • Strong collaboration skills across different locations and teams
  • Commitment to high-quality service and infrastructure performance
  • Willingness to travel spontaneously and as planned, often 3–4 days per week and up to 3 nights away from home per week
  • Full, clean driver's licence
  • Comfort with frequent driving and travel using a company-provided vehicle
  • Agriculture experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand
