About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team of Territory Managers and partner with another Regional Sales Manager in Queensland
  • Hire, coach, and grow the sales team
  • Lead sales performance end to end, including pipeline management, forecasting, and territory strategy
  • Run regular one-on-ones and ride-alongs to coach team members through real farm meetings
  • Set standards for delivering Halter's value proposition to farmers
  • Hold the team accountable to targets
  • Build discipline and rigor behind a growing sales region
  • Help design quotas and commissions as the region scales
  • Build a strong sales culture and develop team members
  • Set and manage quotas, commissions, and other sales management tasks
  • Coach, mentor, and develop junior sales staff
  • Source new leads through proactive outreach, referrals, introductions, industry events, and other channels
  • Field and respond to inbound inquiries
  • Manage the sales pipeline through close, including screening, qualifying, on-farm demonstrations, and contract negotiations
  • Collaborate with Customer Success on post-sales handoff, implementation, customer satisfaction, and account renewal
  • Support customer relationships while they wait for deployment
  • Participate in relevant industry and Halter events and demonstrations
  • Build and leverage industry relationships to establish and maintain Halter's brand
  • Provide customer-focused feedback to help drive the product roadmap
  • Optimize and evolve the sales process for speed, efficiency, and predictability
  • Travel regularly throughout Northern Queensland

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least five years of end-to-end sales experience
  • Proven track record sourcing new prospects, securing meetings with new leads, and creating new sales opportunities
  • Highly experienced in value-based sales, with a proven history of closing deals and high-volume sales results
  • Solid communication skills to present Halter's value proposition
  • Farming or agricultural-sector experience is highly advantageous
  • Results-driven and highly motivated, with exceptional time management skills
  • Adaptability in a high-stakes sales environment and ability to think on your feet
  • Technology-based industry sales experience is preferred
  • University degree or equivalent would be excellent but is not required
  • Regular regional travel availability
  • Legal work authorisation to work in the relevant country
