About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Service existing public affairs accounts
- Provide regulatory and political analysis and engagement advice to global companies
- Review and approve junior colleagues’ work
- Coach and provide effective feedback to junior colleagues
- Manage, delegate to, motivate, supervise, and develop junior colleagues on accounts
- Manage overall client relationships across a portfolio of accounts
- Manage delivery of daily products and services to clients
- Identify opportunities to add value and extend client relationships
- Lead well-structured, creative new business proposals
- Cross-sell and upsell to existing clients
- Drive new commercial opportunities
- Present and influence in pitches and client meetings
- Build relationships with potential new business leads and grow professional networks

Requirements
What you’ll need- Passion for politics
- Shrewd understanding of EU politics and the regulatory process
- Three to six years’ experience working for the EU institutions, a think tank, in-house, at a relevant trade association, or in consultancy
- Knowledge of consumer policy, digital platforms, and/or telecoms regulation
- Ability to develop expertise in new policy areas as the political agenda evolves
- Ability to confidently advise clients on public policy details and plan engagement across the EU institutions
- Developing Brussels network
- Some experience as a people manager and leader
- Strong presentation and influencing skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- First-class verbal and written communication skills in English and at least one other European language
- Dedication to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Right to work in Belgium
