About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Service existing public affairs accounts and support business growth
  • Draft regulatory and political analysis for internal and external audiences on EU digital policy developments
  • Manage projects independently and meet deadlines
  • Conduct research on new subject matters
  • Advise clients on complex EU policy, regulatory, and political developments
  • Attend external events and share insights and connections with the wider team
  • Act as day-to-day account manager for a portfolio of digital-focused accounts
  • Build strong client relationships and handle account administration
  • Develop client deliverables such as policy monitoring and detailed research
  • Produce strategic advice for clients
  • Contribute to client meetings and take responsibility for status reports and client reporting
  • Participate in pitches and proposals
  • Build an external network
  • Own personal development and seek training and innovative approaches
  • Work with colleagues through delegation, mentoring, and time management
  • Contribute feedback and ideas to team and organisational culture

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Passion for politics and strong working knowledge of EU politics and regulation
  • Experience working for the EU institutions, a think tank, in-house, in a relevant trade association, or in consultancy
  • Solid understanding of the EU digital political and regulatory landscape
  • Practical working knowledge of at least two major pieces of digital legislation in the acquis
  • Two to three years’ experience working on digital policy topics
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to think laterally
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively, with great attention to detail
  • Dedication to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good presentation skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • First-class verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Additional EU languages are considered a plus
  • Right to live and work in Belgium
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to London or other parts of Europe
