About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Draft background briefings and conduct desk research on policy areas and important issues.
  • Monitor key developments in the press and Parliament relevant to clients.
  • Draft media materials, including press releases and op-eds.
  • Research, analyse and collate political outputs from Westminster, Whitehall and regulators.
  • Present research and political outputs in a client-friendly format.
  • Assist with business development.
  • Work directly with colleagues at all levels of the company and develop skills with experienced professionals in politics, business and media.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Introductory experience working in public affairs (agency or in house), policy, politics, communications or the media.
  • Genuine interest in public relations, communications and politics.
  • Ability to operate as a generalist and learn quickly about new industries and policy areas.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work and go the extra mile.
  • Proactive self-starter who takes initiative and offers ideas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to check spelling and grammar quickly and accurately.
  • Organisation and good time management.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well within teams.
  • Strong work ethic and drive to deliver excellence.
