About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide tactical leadership, administration, and continuous improvement of the organization's Identity and Access Management program
- Lead user lifecycle management, access governance, privileged access management, authentication services, and identity security controls
- Manage daily identity provisioning, deprovisioning, access reviews, authentication services, and privileged access controls
- Oversee implementation, maintenance, and support of Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), MFA, SSO, IGA, and PAM technologies
- Ensure timely processing of access requests, role modifications, and termination activities
- Monitor identity-related security controls and investigate access issues, policy violations, and unauthorized access incidents
- Coordinate user access certifications and entitlement reviews for policy, regulatory, and audit compliance
- Partner with Information Security, Infrastructure, Application Support, Human Resources, and business units on role-based access and least-privilege standards
- Develop IAM procedures and standards for identity lifecycle management, authentication, authorization, and access governance
- Evaluate IAM technologies, tools, and service providers
- Support identity integration and access-control implementation for new systems and applications
- Maintain IAM process, standards, procedure, and configuration documentation
- Support internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and security assessments
- Track IAM operational metrics and key performance indicators
- Keep current with identity security trends, emerging threats, and regulatory requirements
- Manage, direct, coordinate, and evaluate seven to nine Information Security employees
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree and at least four to six years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Master's degree or equivalent and at least eight to ten years of related experience preferred
- Experience in Identity and Access Management, Information Security, or related IT disciplines preferred
- Minimum of 3-4 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management concepts, including user lifecycle management, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and access certification and attestation processes
- Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and enterprise IAM platforms
- Knowledge of security frameworks and regulatory requirements relevant to financial services environments
- Familiarity with Zero Trust security principles and modern authentication technologies
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
- Ability to operate related equipment
- Ability to read and interpret documents as required
- Ability to travel if required
- Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required, subject to accommodation requirements
