About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with Enterprise Client Success Management partners to ensure employer partners see value in Handshake and retain and grow the business
  • Own a set book of existing employer partners
  • Drive customer retention and expansion from onboarding through renewal
  • Renew, upsell, and cross-sell an assigned book of existing premium employer partners
  • Learn the book of business and position Handshake’s value proposition around customer business issues
  • Build and cultivate relationships with Director, SVP, VP, and C-suite executives
  • Develop creative ways to engage senior executives throughout the customer lifecycle
  • Partner with the Employer Customer Success Team to drive customer adoption and success
  • Manage and present data- and value-driven Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Encourage customers to participate in Handshake events and marketing materials
  • Manage customer loyalty and serve as internal advocate and escalation point
  • Identify and develop scalable account management tools and methodologies
  • Help scale internal processes supporting hundreds of premium employers
  • Become an expert in Handshake, HR, and higher education technology

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 2+ years of sales experience in Enterprise SaaS sales or Account Management
  • 5+ years in a closing and quota-carrying role
  • Experience preparing renewal proposals, forecasting, and account planning
  • Strong history of quota attainment and excellent performance on a high-reaching team
  • Experience with an evangelical sale, selling non-discretionary software to executives at Fortune 1000 companies
  • Experience managing customer relationships alongside a Customer Success team
  • Experience using usage, data, and results to demonstrate value and justify expansion
  • Impeccable communication and polished, professional sales presentation skills
  • Experience operating in a high-growth business environment
  • Must be willing to work onsite from the San Francisco or New York office 3 days a week
  • Must be willing to travel as needed for customer engagements
