About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assemble products using instructions, bills of materials and engineering drawings
- Interpret technical documents, diagrams, schematics, and verbal or written instructions
- Electronically record labor for each job
- Ensure quality standards are met
- Verify specifications by measuring completed components
- Identify defective items and handle them according to established procedures
- Resolve assembly problems by communicating with peers or supervisors
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Use hand tools, power tools, custom fixtures, drill presses, arbor presses, ovens, heat guns and other light-duty equipment
- Perform painting, laser etching, sewing and/or plastic thermoforming as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Proven experience in assembly
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and safely
- Good math/analytical skills with ability to use tools/take measurements
- Must work well in a team environment
- Good communications skills
- Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
