About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Utilize proprietary CAD software to prepare digital positive models for orthotic and prosthetic designs
- Interpret order forms and apply designated design protocols
- Manage workflows using a digital order portal to prioritize tasks, archive files, and send completed orders to multiple fabrication locations nationwide
- Communicate with clinicians regarding order requests via phone, email, chat, and screenshare
- Collaborate with fabrication team members to address quality concerns and meet production needs to enhance patient experience
- Perform other related duties as required
- Work onsite to allow for training, supervision, and team collaboration
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree or completion of a technical trade school program in CAD, drafting or a related field, or equivalent experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- Typically requires less than 1 year of related experience
- A valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
- Knowledge and skills needed to design prostheses and orthoses by utilizing CAD software
- Ability to make evaluative judgments
- Ability to analyze and develop creative solutions to complex benefit issues
- Effective oral/written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to organize/prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and projects, and function effectively as a small-team member
- Familiarity with CAD software for designing prostheses and orthoses preferred
- Basic knowledge of the orthotic and prosthetic industry, anatomy, and biomechanics of the body preferred
- Experience with 3D sculpting and printing preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
