About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Fabricate orthotic and/or prosthetic devices according to Company quality and quantity standards.
Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and follow work instructions for each device in the work area.
Assist with or perform ordering, receiving, and other inventory tasks as assigned.
Maintain 5S to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
Adhere to all safety regulations and OSHA requirements.
Complete HIPAA and other regulatory compliance training issued by Hanger, Inc.
Participate in on-the-job and formal O&P training provided through LMS and leadership.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED; no experience required.
Preferred: less than 1 year of related experience working within environments that include: machinery, tools, wood working, design, fabrication, componentry, etc.
Without diploma/GED, 1 year of related experience working within O&P environments that include: machinery, tools, design, fabrication, componentry, etc.
Knowledge and hand skills needed to fabricate and repair prostheses and orthoses according to specifications.
Mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination to use laboratory tools safely and effectively.
Effective organizational, time management and planning skills.
Good interpersonal and verbal skills for communicating with others.
Ability to work effectively as a team member.
Ability to acquire job skills and learn company policies and procedures.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work under close supervision.
Ability to adhere to safety regulations and OSHA requirements.
Ability to adhere to HIPAA and other regulatory compliance training issued by Hanger, Inc.
